What makes it truly stupid is that I direct the jazz performance studies program right next door, at Tulane.

And…the icing on the Stupic Cake is that Ingrid is originally from Nanaimo B.C., and I lived in nearby Vancouver for years before coming to New Orleans, and we have a number of mutual friends.
