A great line from TIG about teaching young improvisers. Click the link to read the rest.

Always nice to be appreciated :-)
    BTW, what’s your experience teaching?

I teach trombone at Xavier University, and a freshman music tech class at Loyola. I also teach lessons and a small jazz band (8, 9, 10th graders mostly) at a private music school in the burbs. I have conducted the big band at UNO at points in the past and taught some community college music biz classes.

I really play more than I teach though. I enjoy teaching, but it all comes as an extension/expression of professional experience.
